What do JIPM award results show for TPM in China?

JIPM's archive lists 230 TPM award entries from China for award years 2006 to 2025, which is 14.7% of the 1,569 overseas entries and the second-largest total after India. The count was flat at 25 in both 2006-10 and 2011-15, then rose to 64 in 2016-20 and 116 in 2021-25 (Figure 1).

In 2021-25 China supplied 34.6% of all overseas entries, up from 5.7% in 2006-10. That is the sharpest change of any country in the archive, and it puts China beside India and Thailand as one of the three markets that define overseas TPM award activity.
